Beauty continues

One of my favourite flowers is clematis. There are several vines around my back garden... the blossoms are always lovely. Last month I posted a photograph of a white bloom that I happened to catch in the early morning sun.

Now all the petals are gone, but the beauty of these flowers and vines continues to enchant me. The soft feathery portion of the blossoms' centres are delicate reminders of spring, but also beautiful in their own way.

Like many things, when the first blush of newness or youth is past, we sometimes forget to seek the new beauty that is there if we keep our minds open and are willing to look at things in a new way.

I'm going to take my camera with me today and see what else I can find that may not look all new and shiny and the way I expected them to be, but are beautiful in a different way.

Hope your day is filled with beauty.

  1. I hope you had a Happy Canada Day. Lovely shot of the sunlight on the clematis. It is one of my favorite plants too.
