Christmas is coming - the door is finally decorated

Some years it takes me a while to get into the mood, but this morning it hit me... Christmas really is coming, and it's not too far away.

Around here if snow is a reminder of Christmas and winter holidays, I've certainly had my fill of it - but I did go out the other day and trimmed some of the trees  and shrubs to decorate the door, were pulled together with some bling and ribbon and there you go.

Today I'll go out and get more trimmings - to decorate banisters, railings and shelves and put little lights on the ten foot tall Norfolk pine - I have to dangle the lights onto the top from the loft balcony it's so tall and I'm too lazy to drag a ladder into the house, besides it will bring in more snow.

As if that mattered with dogs and cats going in and out these days that it's a bit milder. I'm just glad it's not mud!

I often wonder what others do for Christmas and am finding several blogs with fabulous photographs to enjoy. So lovely.

There are other holidays as well at this time of year - and their celebrations aren't perhaps so commercial as Christmas is. So best wishes to all - whatever the celebration for a truly blessed time - full of joy and great memories.
