You can see the most interesting things along river banks and in swamps. For instance - these two grackles are perched on the end of this branch, presumably one is digging grubs or bugs out of the wood since I saw it  feeding the other bird. Fun to watch.

Some days it pays to stay quiet and just look at things rather than rushing along as I so often do. I'm making time these days to stop and "smell the flowers" or watch the river slowly meander along and see what pops up.


Such an enriching thing to do in a busy day. Hope you get the chance to do the same.
