Two babies meet

There is something special about the meeting and exploration of new species that happens with babies of all kinds.

This image is one of my favourites of all the many photographs I've ever taken... my niece nearly 30 years ago and a young colt that had been born a few weeks prior to their meeting.

I was a local newspaper editor at the time, and worked in black and white, which I often think lends opportunity for much more emotion in photographs.

This was a special moment. The photo says it all. I hope you too, have special moments such as this in your lives. They are very precious.
